Yes, it’s true…….the acai berry offers an amazing and unrivaled suite of sensational benefits, and is my absolute favorite “super food” of this decade, too! But the fact remains, whenever there is a lot of attention paid to a product (or in this case a FRUIT!) the unscrupulous offers and wanna be’s seem to crawl out from the woodwork to take advantage of our enthusiasm.

With that being said, here are 3 things you must know before you even consider buying an Acai Berry product, to make sure you don’t get scammed, ripped off or disappointed.

Acai Berry is NEVER Delivered Fresh:

Why? It has a shelf life of just about one day. You will never get a fresh “bucket” of Acai unless you live in the Amazon rain forest, or unless someone is selling you rotten fruit.

Acai Berry Concentration is NOT Measured By the Amount of Purple in the Bottle!

Many of the nefarious promoters of Acai have stepped up their promotional efforts around the “color” of the drink! Please note. Making a drink a pretty shade of purple does not connote lots of Acai, but rather, really creative coloring on the part of the manufacturer!

Acai Berry is NOT a Cure for Cancer! I hate to see this advertised, just because it feels so predatory. While acai berry compounds and anti oxidants found within the fruit, in lab tests, have shown very encouraging resistance to cancer cells in a test tube environment, this does not mean it’s “cured” cancer, regressed a tumor, or otherwise healed someone who had it.

Is it possible it can? Who knows! Some of the studies on anti oxidant rich fruits look very promising and Acai is OFF the charts for anti oxidants! But to claim it’s been proven is just plain wrong – and not ethical as well.

And Remember – if you HAVEN’T been able to lose weight before…it’s NOT your fault! Knowledge is POWER, and the most important step on the path to a firm, fit & beautiful body is information, EDUCATION and empowerment!

Bonus Tip: Beware of the Acai Berry Scams!  Unfortunately, many of the acai berry products on the market are scams, being sold by unscrupulous companies with one hand in your pocket, rather than out to help you heal.  My best advice?  If you really want to experience the amazing benefits of the berry, make sure you ONLY buy authentic acai berry.
