Weight Loss Scams in Singapore
Posted by: | CommentsDo methods weight loss salons use work? How about the weight loss pills that ‘burn up to 2000 kilocalories per day’? Well, in most cases, people don’t even eat up to 2000 kilocalories when they’re trying to lose weight.
Quote from Singapore Health Promotion Board’s Nutrition FAQ:
The use of weight loss products may lead to relatively fast weight loss initially. Many weight loss products contain bioactive substances that suppress appetite, stimulate metabolism or induce water loss from the body. It is not safe to use these products without medical supervision. Moreover, weight loss products are usually expensive and do not help change the overweight individual’s eating and exercise behaviors that are the root causes of weight gain. This makes maintenance of weight loss difficult.
Enough said.
With regards to numerous weight loss salons using body wraps, infrared or electro stimulation devices etc – must you really be educated to realise that all these don’t work? Please don’t fall victim to their intensive marketing tactics. If they really work, why do they spend so much money on advertisements mostly showing astonishing ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures and slim figures of celebrities but little or no scientific information about their weight loss devices?
Wait. Didn’t recent TV programs show normal Singaporeans losing weight after visiting beauty salons? How do you explain that? Well, these weight loss salons know their stuffs don’t work, so now they’re getting smart enough to recruit some personal trainers and nutritionists to ‘preach’ healthy living. So on top of their dubious weight loss gimmicks (where the real bucks are rolling in), they have their clients exercise and diet. Without a doubt, exercise and diet worked, and weight loss resulted. At www.PT.com.sg we offer the same services (without the body wrap nonsense of course!) at a fraction of the cost.
Seriously, only lazy people wanting a quick fix would visit these weight loss salons. But the thing is that they don’t even provide a quick fix! You’ll only get ripped of.
Here’s an excerpt from a very informative report compiled by the Federal Trade Commission of the United States Of America – Deception In Weight Loss Advertising Workshop:
Seizing Opportunities and Building Partnerships to Stop Weight Loss Fraud. A panel of experts discusses and analyses claims made by manufacturers, citing scientific references to show how these claims are false and misleading the public. The claims include:
1. Consumers who use the advertised product can lose substantial weight without reducing caloric intake and/or increasing their physical activity.
2. Consumers who use the advertised product can lose substantial weight while still enjoying unlimited amounts of high calorie foods.
3. The advertised product will cause permanent weight loss.
4. The advertised product will cause substantial weight loss through the blockage of absorption of fat or calories.
5. Consumers who use the advertised product can safely lose more than three pounds per week for a period of more than four weeks.
6. Users can lose substantial weight though the use of the advertised product that is worn on the body or rubbed into the skin.
7. The advertised product will cause substantial weight loss for all users
8. Consumers who use the advertised product can lose weight only from those parts of the body where they wish to lose weight
Find them familiar? Read them in ads on the papers or on television lately? Please do take time to read the full report: http://www.ftc.gov/os/2003/12/031209weightlossrpt.pdf
Losing weight ain’t easy. Nobody said it is. Only hard work and smart dieting will help you achieve your goals. Another important key is to change your eating behaviors and adapt to healthy eating so that the weight will be put off for good. Please do show your friends and family the reports and help to prevent any more fellow Singaporeans from falling into the traps of these useless companies!

Best Diet Pills-Discover the Safest and Most Effective Diet Pills on the Market Today!
Posted by: | CommentsAlmost everybody can readily admit that they have, at one time or two in their lives, have considered taking diet pills. This is not surprising since with the growing market for these pills, one of the popular searches in the internet nowadays is the hunt for the best diet pills. So how do you search for the best diet pills? What are the best diet pills ever that are available in the market? How do you know that the one that you are using or wanting to buy is one of the best diet pills? There are a lot of questions but only few answers.
Searching for the best diet pills is never easy. Why? There are a lot of scams going on that you would never suspect if whether or not a certain pill is even good or not. What is worse in the scenario is that there are ‘diet pills’ claiming to be very good when in fact they are just placebos. If ever they work, it will be because you are complimenting the pill with another weight loss program or your mind is powerful enough to make you lose weight.
To be on the safe side, it is always best to buy pills that are prescribed by your doctor. However, sometimes this is not that easy since most diet pills are sold without prescription. In short, they are just sold over the counter. With this, it is much better if you ask your doctor on what she or he can recommend you with. Also, you can not rely on the FDA logo or approval on most diet pill containers since it does not require having one. The only diet pill known to have it is Xenical.
So what are the best diet pills available in the market? Since there are a lot of diet pills available that really work, it is much better if you look for them according to their action or how they go about bringing the slimmer you and how you want it done. In short, the best diet pill is the one whose approach to shedding off pounds is one that you want.
If you are the type who has a weight problem because of a very good appetite, you might consider buying an appetite suppressant diet pill; an example of this is Hoodia Gordoni. This kind of pill acts on your brain to fool your stomach that it is full hence you will have a decreased appetite. Another approach that diet pills take is to increase your metabolism. An example of this is Lean System 7 and the now growingly popular Xenical. With this kind of pill, always expect that you will be visiting the bathroom often as a side effect to its approach of increasing your metabolism.
In order to ensure that the pill that you are planning to buy, or the one that you are using now, is one of the best, do research on it. Ask people who knows about pills or search for it in the internet (a must do). In these ways, you’ll be able to get feedback of the pills based on the reviews of its customers and not its manufacturers.

Acai Berry Warning: Free Acai Berry Capsules Can Cost You A Bundle
Posted by: | CommentsYou can barely look anywhere on or off the internet these days without seeing one of those prominent ads for acai berry weight loss capsules. These supplements are relatively new on the weight loss scene and there are lots of claims being made regarding their positive effects on a person’s ability to take off unwanted pounds.
Let’s just say that the acai berry is the newest weight loss craze. As with other fads, there are numerous companies looking to cash in and line their pockets with money from eager dieters. While looking at these offers, I’ve come across an alarming marketing angle that some vendors are using to gain access to your hard-earned money for as long as they can: Free Acai Berry Samples.
Now on the surface there’s nothing wrong with giving away a free product sample in order to allow a consumer to try out the product. It’s done all the time by reputable companies. The consumer understands that in order to get the free sample, they have to pay a small shipping and handling fee. Fair enough.
However, I found out that there is an acai berry scam that unsuspecting consumers are falling for and it’s costing them big. You see, there are websites that offer a free sample of the acai berry diet supplement for free, but it’s not really free because after your order is complete you’ll notice a $29 charge showing up on your credit card within a few days. There’s usually no explanation for this charge, because you thought you were paying only a small shipping and handling fee.
Unfortunately, this first charge isn’t the end of the story. After a week goes by, you’ll be charged an additional amount – anywhere from $78 to $89 usually. When you call the company to complain, you may find that their phone number is disconnected. This kind of thing is normal for scams.
The worst part about this scam is that you may not even get the product you ordered. Sometimes people get the supplements and sometimes they don’t. Even if you do get the promised sample, your credit card will be charged up to $89 per month indefinitely.
So, here’s what happens: You think you’re ordering a product to try out and see if you like it for a few bucks. In reality, you’re paying a large shipping and handling fee, plus, a large monthly fee for one bottle of diet pills you may not even use.
Outrageous!
The only way to save your credit card account at this point is to call your bank and dispute the charges. The bank should close down your card and issue you a new one while they investigate your dispute. It may take up to two weeks for you to get your new card, so this is another inconvenience for you.
As far as the merits of losing weight with supplements containing acai berry, I’m not providing an opinion on them one way or the other, since I don’t have enough information on whether they work well as a diet aid.
I myself do not review or promote dietary supplements of any kind. I don’t take them myself and I don’t recommend them to anyone. This is a personal decision I’ve made based on my own research. I generally don’t think that diet pills work for weight loss because they mostly offer a quick fix to an issue that takes time and commitment.
Most people who go the diet pill route will be disappointed in their results. The touted active ingredients in diet pills are often watered down by processing so much that they offer no real benefit. Plus, they’re filled with stimulants like caffeine that can cause unpleasant side effects.
I’ve come across several sites online featuring allegedly fake weight loss stories using acai berry that are offering free samples. If you are thinking about trying this kind of product, please be very careful. It would be cheaper if you went to your local drugstore to buy these supplements at regular cost. Or, try the acai juice which many people have tried and like.
My best advice is: If you’re really serious about losing weight, stick with the healthier methods that are featured on a reputable weight loss review site. Find a plan you like and stick with it for several weeks. It’s realistic and it works.

Real Acai Fruit Reviews – The Only Way To Buy Acai Berry Without Fear Or Worry
Posted by: | CommentsIn this article we are going to talk about the only real way to make an intelligent acai berry buying decision. Why is this so important? Well, many of our readers admit to being excited, enthused and encouraged by the sorts of tranformative results they see others getting on acai berry diets……but feel overwhelmed at the options, and different programs available.
And who really can blame you? Did you know that at last count there were something like 50 different popular acai berry products and promotions being sold online? It’s true…..and trying to discern which amongst these is the right choice for you can be overwhelming, and frustrating to boot.
So what is the only real way to buy acai berry products without having to be worried about getting ripped off, or overwhelmed by sensational claims that simply leave you more confused than where you begun?
My recommendation? Look for real reviews, done by real people, and that filter out a lot of the “junk” for you ahead of time. Look for reviews that are credible, realistic and simply don’t’ sensationalize the product that you are about to buy…….or that they recommend you do. (i.e. – this is the very best product that’s ever been created….and all of your problems are about to go away!)
My personal preference is a compare and contrast format, where I can see the similarities, and the differences in the programs that are being reviewed. The problem with so many of the popular”review” sites out there these days is this: they simply aren’t credible, and act MORE as a shill for a particular product, than they do as as educational tool for the consumers who are using their expertise to formulate an opinion!
Bonus Tip: Beware of the Acai Berry Scams! Unfortunately, many of the acai berry products on the market are scams, being sold by unscrupulous companies with one hand in your pocket, rather than out to help you heal. My best advice? If you really want to experience the amazing benefits of the berry, make sure you ONLY buy
authentic acai berry juice or extract.
(This is the one that we use, and recommend to our family, friends and readers alike)
Good luck, and happy healing!

Acai Berry Celebrity Scams Are Real
Posted by: | CommentsIf you are anything like I was when I first started researching acai several years ago, you are probably greatly influenced the celebrity endorsements you read and see everywhere online, right? It’s true…like just about nothing else in recent memory, acai berry has become the belle of the ball, which famous, household names seemingly lining up to endorse every product you see anywhere online.
But is it true……or is the whole Acai Berry celebrity promotion one big scam?
It’s a good question, and a little bit of both! Here is why:
Acai Berry is in fact being endorsed as an amazing super food by lots of the top celebrity names in health, nutrition and wellness. Athletes such as superstar surfer Kelly Slater, to uber talk show hosts Oprah and Rachael Ray, to world renowned physicians like Nicholas Perricone have all enthusiastically recommended Acai.
But…where the scam kicks in is here: None of the endorsements you’ve seen on Oprah, for example, have been for a specific product, or make, or distributor of Acai Berry…JUST for the amazing benefits of the fruit in general. So when you see a company saying – “as seen on this TV show, or that”, they are sort of trying to imply that their brand has been recommended, when in fact, it was just acai berry in general that’s gotten the celebrity thumbs up! Sneaky, not completely honest…and to perfectly frank with you, I wouldn’t purchase Acai from anyone who engaged in this style marketing anyway!

Ephedra Acai Berry and Weight Loss Myths
Posted by: | Commentsy for weight loss claims are suddenly popping up all over the internet. “I lost 32 pounds drinking acai berry juice”. “Just by taking my acai berry pill I dropped 29 pounds and 3 dress sizes.”
Maybe they did lose weight but they did not lose weight because of their acai berry product. These are straight up scams. Now don\’t go and throw the acai berry into the trash because of these dishonest people writing fake claims.
They also throw the acai berry in with some detox information and continue to go on about the fantastic properties of the acai berries. The acai berry is very beneficial but mainly as an antioxidant. It is loaded with antioxidants, more than even the famous blueberry or red wine grapes. There is no scientific proof that the acai berry can help you lose weight.
Now what supplement or weight loss product has been around for a long time, had proof of proper scientific testing and has been used by millions of people with proven results? That supplement would be diet pills that contain ephedra.
To be more exact that would be the ECA stack or Ephedra, Caffeine, Asprin combination. Those three ingredients combined together to make the most powerful herbal diet pill presently known to man.
A study published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, found an ephedrine caffeine based supplement was superior for weight loss with less side effects than the popular diet drug Xenical (Orlistat). What about the safety of ephedra? Every single study to date with more than a decade of research has concluded the side effects of ephedra are minor, transient, and short lived.
Remember that ephedra was so incredibly popular that millions of people were taking billions of doses of ephedra diet supplements for over ten years and there were very few problems. If you are in a reasonably healthy state (you should always consult with a doctor) then ephedra products would have been helpful.

Is Acai Berry A Rip Off?
Posted by: | CommentsIf you are anything like I used to be when I first started looking online at Acai Berry products (more than 2 years ago when Mona Vie first started showing up on Prime time News) you are probably equally as worried about getting ripped off, as you are about getting the amazing benefits of the berry, right?
It’s true….and while there are some scams out there to be cautious of like ALL industries, the benefits I believe I’ve seen with my own two eyes on an Acai Berry diet are phenomenal to say the least.
Here are the signs you need to beware of when shopping for Acai Berry products. (and you’ll instantly know whether to stay away immediately)
Insist on a Clear Return Policy
If they have a nebulous, or ambiguous return policy, you need to stay away. Terms should be clearly marked and identified before you buy, and in writing on the website. I prefer to ALWAYS start with a free trial (and recommend you do too) but, you need to make sure you understand the return policy here as well, lest you end up with more product down the road than you really want.
Insist on Genuine Acai Product
No, not coloring. And no, not just in name. My rule of thumb? At least 200 Mg of genuine acai extract in each serving, simply because this has been the amount people smarter than me have said is right. (the product I prefer actually has more) Don’t allow yourself to be fooled by imitators, all of this should be clearly marked on the bottle, packaging or web site promotional materials first.
If it’s not, it’s a surefire sign to simply stay away and go elsewhere instead!
